Jesus? Can you imagine how it felt for all of the hatred and bitterness to melt away from his cold, hard heart? Think for a moment of all that has taken place in your life and all the feelings that surround you, and how some of the events of your life have impacted how you live life today. I look at my life in this brief time of reflection and I see a sinner. I see a woman who has been a liar, both verbally and emotionally, to herself as well as to others. I see someone who has known to do right, but chose another way because she wanted to, not taking God into account. I see a woman who has been hurt by another and wanted to hurt back, bigger and worse than what was inflicted on her. I could probably fill a page and a half on just what I was and what caused my pain, which attributed to my actions! But I want to say to you that I am a sinner, but Saved by Grace! See, like Paul, I too feel like surely I am the worst of them. But God, in His precious love and mercy, rescued my life. He came in and cleaned me up and set my feet along a new pathway. LIFE! When you are in the midst of the enemy of sin, you see life for yourself and to your own advantage. You cannot see anything other than your main objective: you! And then~ now picture this with me if you will~ in open arms, Jesus! No matter what you have done: Jesus! No matter where you have been: Jesus! Forgiveness from sin! Do you clearly understand that? Can you even wrap your head around this knowledge that Jesus, knowing your sin, knowing your heart, attitudes, and feelings, offers you today Forgiveness for the past and Grace for the journey? It blows my mind! There is no other God like our God! There is no other God that saw the sin of the world and sent His only son to die on a cross for me~Grace! There is no one else that can offer me forgiveness for the many times I have failed Him in life~Grace! There is no other God that walks beside me on the journey, guides me, talks with me, and gives me life more abundantly! Even after I have hurt His heart and often times robbed Him of His Glory~Grace! God’s AMAZING GRACE! And the best part of it all: it is yours for the asking! When you seek Him and ask Him to become your Savior and forgive your sins, you get the best gift of His love: His Grace! I encourage you today to “Think about his Love; think about His goodness, think about His GRACE that’s brought you through”… Like Paul, we all have a story. Some more dramatic than others, but not one of us is without sin. Not one of us is not in need of the Amazing healing power of Jesus! And not one of us is not without the need of God’s AMAZING GRACE!
