The cohousing group secure planning permission Having purchased an option to buy the site, the cohousing group enter an energetic co-design phase, usually employing a project manager and an architect to produce a scheme which matches their individual and shared aspirations as well as their capacity to borrow. On securing planning permission for the development, the cohousing group, acting as a co-operative, purchase the plot from the housebuilder.
