Literacy Results of the Citi Financial Literacy and Academic Reach and Empowerment Program (FLARE), P.S. 86 Queens School, in Briarwood, NY. Prior to participating in the FLARE program, the average pre-program vocabulary score earned by all students was approximately 39.7%. Following participation, the average performance of all students on the same test increased approximately to 55.4%, representing an average gain of 15.7 points gained.
