Founded in 1943, the Alliance Franรงaise de Canberra is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated in the ACT. Member of the Alliance Franรงaise network, it has built its actions and reputation on the quality of its teaching and training programmes, in a multicultural environment which promotes exchanges, respect and conviviality.

CONCOURS GEORGES VINCENT
Since 1973, the Alliance Française de Canberra has run the Concours George Vincent for ACT students learning French as a foreign language and francophone students. The Concours awarded prizes to the best students from Years 8 to 12. This contest allows students to demonstrate their skills and rewards their hard work in learning French. French national diplomas why A DELF OR DALF Diploma?
The Alliance Française de Canberra is the only ACT exam centre approved by the French government to hold exams for these diplomas which are recognised everywhere in the world and valid for life! The Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) and Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF), are official French proficiency diplomas administered by the French government and the French Ministry of Education. Four skills are evaluated: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

BUILDING FUND To provide a high quality experience and services that students, members and staff demand in the 21st century the Alliance must continue to develop, modernise and maintain its premises. The Building Fund aims to raise $200,000 over the next two years so work can begin on covering the existing courtyard to provide additional space for teaching activity and a bigger hall.
