P h i l i p p i n es Smiles and Slippers Y our mission offerings accomplish some pretty exciting things around the world! Recently they helped support a Vacation Bible School (VBS) in the Philippines to reach out to the children of the Katutubo tribe. Katutubo are the indigenous people of Mindoro, the seventh largest island of the Philippines. After listening to a Bible story, the children color a picture. Coloring and cutting out a crown is fun! Every day the children enjoy listening to Bible stories and participating in crafts. They also learn about how to care for their bodies through proper eating and hygiene. The children learn songs and how to pray. Jane’s son, N. J., models a crown.
