ThePost Permanency Family Center has been established to provide support, guidance, and information to the adoption/guardianship community in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Families who have come together through kinship care, guardianship, and adoption need to be understood, encouraged, and supported as they are empowered to fulfill their roles as the single most therapeutic influence in the life of their child. The Post Permanency Family Center offers counseling and support to children and families before, during, and after their adoption or guardianship petitions have been finalized. The Center links families to supportive community resources, offers support groups for children and families, and provides training in permanency-related issues for parents and professionals.
