PUBLIC SAFETY Police report

Highway 100 at Minnetonka Boulevard after officers responded to the report of an erratic driver. Aug. 23 – A 51-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for driving after cancellation at the intersection of Gleason Road and McCauley Trail West after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation. Aug. 24 – Cash, sunglasses and a garage door opener valued at $40 were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 4200 block of Alden Drive. Tampering with an automobile was reported on the 4200 block of Alden Drive. Unknown persons entered the vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing. Property damage was reported at a home on the 5900 block of Drew Avenue South. An unknown person cut a window screen. No entry was made into the home. A computer, briefcase, passport and checkbook valued at $476 were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 5200

The following is a summary of selected incidents listed on the Edina Police Department weekly crime report Aug. 22-28: Aug. 22 – A 35-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of marijuana on the 6600 block of southbound Highway 100 after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation. A 21-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on the 5600 block of northbound Highway 100 after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation. A water heater and furnace were reported stolen from a vacant home on the 5000 block of Hankerson Avenue. Eleven cell phones valued at $7,389 were reported stolen from the back room at Cellular Connections, 6555 York Ave. S. A 39-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and an open bottle violation on
