Senior *NIX Systems Administrator Wanted
You appreciate secure, highly available and fault-tolerant systems. You don't mind being on call because you're confident in the automated systems you've put in place.
As a member of our Operations Unit you will participate in the day to day operations of our back-end infrastructure.
We have a highly distributed and scalable system which runs on a large number of machines in a compute-cloud.
The system must be able to handle high traffic loads and store large amounts of data.
Your tasks will cover all aspects of setting up and maintaining this system. This includes the development of tools and
methodologies for configuration, deployment and supervision of machines and processes, analyzing system performance and
cost efficiency and generating reports/statistics to assist the decision making process.

Responsibilities
- Monitor systems for performance and reliability
- Develop tools to automate monitoring and maintenance of systems
- Ensure reliable 24x7 operation
- Rapidly deploy and scale systems to meet demand? Solve problems quickly and automate processes
- Help optimize performance/cost efficiency (identify bottlenecks etc.)
- Report system status and statistics for executive use/planning
Requirements
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Fluency in at least one scripting language: BASH, PERL, Python, Ruby, etc.
- At least 3 years experience with UNIX/Linux systems administration
- Ability to handle on-call duty as well as out-of-band requests
- Adept understanding of system and network security principles and practices
- Motivated self-starter, fast learner, good communication skills (English)
