Roles of a Member This is a description of all roles that are possible. Everything depends on your activity and desire to participate. By participating in all roles, you will get well-rounded experience of communication and leadership. You should understand that we can make this Club interesting only together. I’m not your teacher. I’m a helper and organizer. Read a full description and choose any role. When you are the Timer The Timer is the member responsible for keeping track of time. Each segment of the meeting is limited. This role is an excellent opportunity in practicing. Prior to the Meeting look through the Agenda take watch/stopwatch borrow colour cards from the coordinator (yellow, red) During the meeting explain timing rules signal each program participant record each participant’s name and time used at the end of the meeting announce the speaker’s name and the time taken

Phonetic Master The purpose is to note words and sounds used as a “crutch”. Also the task is to note pronunciation mistakes. During the Meeting explain the role write down all participants note all crush words and pronunciation mistakes at the end give your report

Grammarian Being Grammarian is truly an exercise in expanding your listening skills. During the meeting you have to note all mistakes. During the meeting listen to everyone’s word usage write down any awkward use or misuse of the language at the end give a report It can be a good idea not to mention all mistakes. Especially if someone makes a lot. After the meeting give a personal report to anyone you want to help.

Sensible Master kinaesthetic man of the meeting His purpose is to note the atmosphere of the evening. During the meeting · listen to his sixth feeling · at the end give a report, share your emotions

News Block team It contains two blocks. It means that two members are responsible for this role. The first person tells the audience about five news of the week (10 minutes). The second prepare report about the date when the meeting is held (6 min). F. ex. What had happened during this day several decades ago?

Speaker This member tells the audience a interesting for him topic. Anyway. Preparation is essential. The speech takes 7 minutes + the block of questions (6 min). You have only time frames. Everything else is your imagination! You can make a project, draw something, bring photos, make a computer presentation. Make it interesting and unforgettable.

Video/Audio session Master responsible for audio/video part of the meeting. Prior to the Meeting choose a video or an audio podcast decide what do you want to discuss prepare questions to the audience During the meeting prepare equipment (to come in advance) watching/listening to + discussion (+- 10 min) Everything depends on the duration of the video/audio part. Your task is to notify about time frame to the coordinator.

Table Topic Master The Topic Master’s program has a tradition – every member speaks at the meeting. The purpose of this period is to have members “think on their feet” and speak for a minute or more. The topic Master prepares and issues topics; originality is desirable as much as possible. Prior to the Meeting choose a topic prepare questions warn the coordinator about the topic During the meeting

Word Master give a word/set of expression/word combination. Your task is to introduce the word/…/… and motivate most of the audience at least to use it in some expressions.

Game Master holds a game Most of games require a lot of time. If you have a suggestion to be a Game Master you should tell about it to the coordinator. We will choose time and decide when to hold it.

Debate The aim of this role is to speak on different topics and to develop oratory skills. The Debate Master makes up the topic of discussion, prepare questions and lead the process. The topic should be hot. Two persons (Debate Orators) should prepare one point of view and two others should prepare the opposite one. During the debating process The Debate Master and the audience ask questions and both opposite sites have to answer. After debating the audience makes a decision who wins in Debates
