The “Woodstock” Free-ride This board is about speed, response and edge hold in the knarliest of conditions. The powerful pro-rider flex make the “Woody” perfect for big lines and hard carving. It makes clean turns in powder, on-piste and blows away the competition on the boarder-cross course. With wood/carbon construction over a nanotech base and a gorgeous coloured wood veneer topsheet, this board has definitely got wood! It is pretty much our “J class”, (our original free-ride shape) with a pro-rider flex and slightly less of a pintail shape. It’s a little less free-ridy than the J with an advance rider flex. We’re still sticking with our triple match wood veneer theme, which is an old school long board kinda feel. We love the coloured veneers and it’s unique look. When we made the first prototype we were stoked! This board is quick and loves to be ridden at speed. It isn’t an entry-level board and you have to drive it quite hard but if you can it’s a very exciting ride. Get it in the groove and its unforgettable like the rock concert its named after! Powder, peace and free love, lots of it!

The “GT” All mountain A bombproof crossover board that’s happy anywhere. The mid-flex pattern makes riding a breeze, carbon gives mad “pop” and above the base a Kevlar layer deals with impact. A true all mountain board that instantly upgraded your riding. The top-sheet is pure, sexy, black carbon! This board is the “Grand Tourer” of our range. If the “Woodstock” is the Caterham super 7 then this is the Aston Martin or Ford Mustang. So we’ve embraced the stripy car theme with the carbon top-sheet for a slick look, and its hot! We also wanted this board to be a reliable tool you can count on in all conditions with a flex pattern that wouldn’t kill you to ride it well. At first we made it too narrow and too stiff. Riders loved it but they were expert riders so it was misleading. This board is not supposed to be a difficult board to ride so we softened it and now its cool! Its category “All mountain crossover” etc makes it sound like cheap, entry-level stuff. Its not; its about bang on materials, tech and performance that shines in all conditions. For me, easy street and freedom street is the same street. Hey, ride in the sunshine! Why not?

The “Dream Warrior” Freestyle In the quest for our first freestyle board we made and tried a few boards. The “Black swan” was all mountain free-style, the “Popmaster” a park board and last year a shape with no name. It’s a tricky one, Lisa and I aren’t really new school free-riders and maybe in this case old school can mean old fool! So we got together with a guy who rides at Les Arcs, 40 minutes from our workshop. He’s called Kim; he not only loves all free-style but he’s also pretty hot at it and he hangs out with like-minded riders. He tested a few shapes, broke a few boards and after a couple of seasons we went for a twin tip, wide-open stance board. Kim had shown that it had to be strong. So we went for a techie fabric called Texaluim™. It makes a bulletproof structural top-sheet that looks amazing! Ok, so what about graphics? The guys up in Snow Coco, (one of our agents in Courcheval 1850) have had a big input with this. Specifically one guy called Jean who said “You should do this, its cool” and he showed us the tattoo on his calf. It’s unique and done by a Fijian friend of his who visits him every year and kind of freestyle tattoos on people! So Lisa morphed it into a board design. It looks spiritual, tribal, almost voodoo god like! So we decided to call it the “Voodoo child” but the thought of dolls stuck with pins and dead chickens put us off so we chose a sweeter name, The “Dream warrior”. If you obey all of the rules then you miss all the fun!

So here’s the test.... Do you feel exhilarated or do you feel tired? If you feel exhilarated and energised then you have been nourished; but if you feel tired, then my friend you have been poisoned.
