BoweK The following illustrations are from previous pieces of work show casing collections from, Asian, African and European influences. The photos below are of my final year collection, in which I drew inspiration from Asian culture. Using such materials as eel skin, ostrich legs and crocodile.

Being born in South Africa and having lived in Kenya for most of my life, I feel passionately about using different countries and cultures to inspire my work. always looking for a new and exciting edge, whilst still incorporating classic styles and traditions, The balancing of the two elements can be hardest task. BoweK is a luxury footwear brand which is inspired by it's surrounding. In this particular collection, the focus has been on Asia and Chinese art. Looking at the use of exotic materials and Chinese satin silk. The satin silk lining used was then, in a bright contrasting colour which makes the shoe/boot more striking. BoweK is based in London and is now looking for a new challenge to test and strengthen my understanding of footwear

icica a concept wedge exploring sustainable product proposals for luxury footwear. materials, construction, aesthetic & product life have been examined and redesigned. helen furber has just completed the ba (hons) footwear design & development course at cordwainers london college of fashion. following work experience including y-3/slvr adidas and nicholas kirkwood, this project marks the start of an ambitious design career.
