Aminah Fard, pictured with Denver University cheerleaders, was among the Rising Stars chosen for their noteworthy contributions and achievements at the Denver Pioneers vs. Nebraska Mavericks basketball game. The University of Denver Division of Athletics and Recreation’s Rising Stars program honors outstanding elementary school students from across the state selected by their teachers and principals for
exemplary academic aptitude and character. Students from various schools are recognized at designated Denver University men’s basketball home games. Recipients are presented with a certificate and honored on the court at the conclusion of the game. Public Service Credit Union is the presenting sponsor of the program now in its third year.
