From Battleground to Empire State: New York and the Legacy of 1812* Thursday, September 5 at 7:00PM Alfred C. Ronzoni will explore the legacy of the War of 1812 in the creation of New York as the “Empire State.”

LECTURE All About Quilting* Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 1:15PM Emilia Rabito Baer will focus on the development of quilting to its recognition and popularity today. It can be a fine art to hang on the wall, wear on the body and, even create other objects.

A Concert with the New York Exceptions Saturday, September 7 at 2:00PM. Dave Scotti, Mike Nicolletti, Kevin Driscoll, Dominick Soldezzo, Wayne Kent and Steve Ward will be taking you back to the 50’s and 60’s and 70’s. Their Doo-Wop band will have you singing and dancing to your favorite oldies.

Safe Driving Courses*: Saturday, October 12 at 10:15AM–4:15PM The Empire Safety Council course is open to licensed drivers of any age. Registration will begin at the Reference Desk on Monday, September 9th when a fee of $35.00, payable by check only to Empire Safety Council will be collected. 2
